Health care services

Landstinget Dalarna is responsible for the health care services in the county.
32 community health care centres are spread across the county, forming the basic structure of the service and answering for more than two-thirds of all doctors’ consultations. There are six specialist hospitals in Avesta, Borlänge, Falun, Ludvika, Mora and Säter. Falun and Mora are also emergency hospitals and Säter provides psychiatric care.

Landstinget Dalarna is also responsible for the provision of good dental care in the county, offering a public sector service as well as private dental care. There are 34 public dental care centres offering treatment within all specialities, including hospital dental treatment and dental technicians.
